The First International Nepal Art Symposium opened at the Nepal Art Council gallery at Babarmahal here saturday.
Various works of art done by artists from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Lebanon have been included in the symposium that will last till Monday. The symposium is jointly organised by Nepal Art Council, New Arts Circle and the SMD Foundation of India.
30 artworks by Nepali artists and 65 by foreign artists are on exhibition in the symposium.
Senior culture expert Satya Mohan Joshi inaugurated the symposium.
